On 14 August 2026, our Grade 12 learners enjoyed a well-deserved day of celebration at Gold Reef City as they took a break from the pressures of their final matric year.
The day was filled with laughter, excitement and unforgettable memories as learners explored the theme park and took on some of its thrilling rides. From adrenaline-pumping roller coasters and exciting attractions to games, entertainment and simply enjoying the atmosphere, there was something for everyone.
One of the highlights of the day was the opportunity for learners to spend quality time together outside the classroom. Sharing lunch, chatting with friends and enjoying a few laughs created a wonderful sense of camaraderie among the Grade 12 group. These moments provided a chance to relax, reconnect and celebrate the journey they have taken together throughout their school years.
We were particularly proud of the learners’ excellent behaviour throughout the outing. They conducted themselves responsibly, respectfully and maturely, representing the school in a positive manner. Their cooperation and good manners contributed greatly to the success of the day.
A theme park celebration is about more than just rides. It is about creating memories, challenging yourself, enjoying the company of friends, taking photographs, exploring new experiences and celebrating milestones together. For our Grade 12 learners, the day was a reminder to enjoy the final chapter of their school journey while appreciating the friendships and experiences that have shaped their matric year.
The Gold Reef City outing was certainly a day to remember, filled with fun, friendship, laughter and adventure. We wish our Grade 12 learners every success as they enter the final stretch towards their matric examinations. May they carry the same enthusiasm, courage and determination they showed at the theme park into the challenges that lie ahead!
