Bringing a major production to Greenside High School is an extensive process that involves collaboration among students, teachers, parents, and possibly external professionals. It provides students with opportunities to develop their talents, work as a team, and gain confidence through performance.

The Major Production at Greenside High School for the year 2024 will be Whispers of an African Child.

Ms Hicks is the creator of the compilation (Author). 

• Choosing a play, musical, or performance piece that is suitable for the students and aligns with the school’s resources and capabilities.

Ms Nolte is her right-hand woman. These two ladies have the ability to send the learners in the correction of perfection.

• Holding auditions to select students for various roles in the production, ensuring that all participants are well-suited to their parts.

Ms L van Zyl is the producer. 

• Advertising the event within the school and the local community to ensure good attendance. This might include posters, social media campaigns, and ticket sales.

• Creating the visual elements of the production, including sets, costumes, props, and makeup. This typically involves art students, teachers, and possibly parent volunteers.

The main people in the production are the learners, with their special talents. Conducting regular rehearsals to practice lines, songs, dances, and other performance elements. This often requires a significant time commitment from students and staff.
