We Will Rise
What an amazing and unforgettable evening it was at the Greenside High School Choir Festival – “We Will Rise”!
The evening brought together five incredible school choirs, creating a beautiful celebration of music, talent, friendship and community. We were privileged to welcome Beaulieu College, St Francis College, Roosevelt High School and Parktown High School for Girls, who joined our Greenside High School Choir for an evening filled with extraordinary performances and unforgettable moments.
Despite the cold weather, each choir brought warmth to the evening through their beautiful voices, energy and passion for music. The performances showcased not only the incredible musical talent of our learners, but also the dedication, discipline and countless hours of preparation that go into every performance.
The theme, “We Will Rise,” perfectly captured the spirit of the evening. Each choir reminded us of the power of music to bring people together, inspire others and create memories that will last long after the final note has been sung.
A special highlight was seeing learners from different schools sharing the stage, supporting one another and celebrating each other’s talents. The atmosphere throughout the evening was filled with excitement, encouragement, laughter and pride.
We would like to extend our heartfelt appreciation to Beaulieu College, St Francis College, Roosevelt High School and Parktown High School for Girls for accepting our invitation and making the festival so special. Your presence and performances contributed enormously to the success of the evening.
A huge congratulations must also go to the Greenside High School Choir. Their commitment, enthusiasm and love for music were evident throughout the festival. They represented our school with immense pride and truly embodied the message that together, we will rise.
The success of the evening was also made possible through the dedication of our staff, ushers, MCs, technical team, support staff, parents and everyone who worked behind the scenes to ensure that the festival ran smoothly.
The “We Will Rise” Choir Festival was far more than a concert. It was a celebration of community, friendship, resilience and the incredible power of young voices.
It was an evening to remember — an evening where we sang together, celebrated together and, most importantly, rose together.
We will rise. We will sing. We will shine.
